Product Introduction
1. High-Pressure Molten Metal Injection
The core of the Decano die-casting process involves forcing molten aluminum alloy into a precision-engineered steel mold (die) under extreme pressure. Unlike gravity casting, this high-pressure injection ensures that the liquid metal fills every intricate detail of the mold, including the thin-walled cooling fins essential for LED thermal management. This results in a "near-net-shape" housing that requires minimal machining, providing Decano street lights with a dense, non-porous structural integrity that can withstand high impact and extreme wind loads.
2. Integrated Thermal Management Engineering
In the manufacturing of Decano's high-wattage street lights, the die-casting mold is specifically designed to create an integrated heat sink. Because the housing and the cooling fins are cast as a single continuous piece of aluminum, there are no thermal barriers between the light source and the atmosphere. This "Monoblock" design allows heat to flow seamlessly from the LED modules to the outer surface, drastically reducing the junction temperature. This specialized casting geometry is the primary reason Decano lights maintain their brightness and avoid "thermal decay" over long-term outdoor use.
3. Precision Finishing and Surface Preparation
Once the raw aluminum housing is removed from the die, it undergoes a series of precision finishing steps. This includes "de-burring" to remove excess metal and "shot-blasting" to create a slightly textured surface that enhances the adhesion of our anti-corrosion powder coating. This stage is vital for achieving the IP66 and IK08/IK09 ratings. The precision of the die-casting process ensures that the sealing grooves for the silicone gaskets are perfectly uniform, creating a vacuum-tight environment for the internal electronics and ensuring that the lamp remains durable in the most corrosive salt-air or industrial environments.
