10m Single Arm Road Light Pole

1. Primary Shaft: Q235B High-Quality Carbon Steel

This is the "skeleton" of the pole.

    Material Standard: We use Q235B steel, which offers an ideal balance of strength and ductility. It allows the pole to flex slightly under heavy wind loads without suffering from brittle fractures.

    Thickness Specification: For a 10m height, the standard wall thickness is 4.0mm to 4.5mm. In coastal areas or high-wind zones, we upgrade this to 5.0mm to ensure the pole meets the required safety factor against 120km/h+ gusts.

2. Anti-Corrosion: Hot-Dip Galvanization (HDG)

Internal and external protection is mandatory for a 10m structure to prevent catastrophic structural failure caused by hidden rust.

    The Process: The entire 10m shaft is submerged in a bath of molten zinc at 450°C.

    Material Standard: We use zinc with 99.9% purity, creating a protective layer of $80\text{--}90\mu\text{m}$.

    Longevity: This creates a metallurgical bond (zinc-iron alloy) that provides a chemical shield for over 20 years, even in humid or industrial environments.

3. Base Flange: Reinforced Heavy-Duty Plate

The flange is the "anchor" of the 10m pole, bearing the entire tilting moment.

    Material: Heavy-duty Q235B steel plate with a thickness of 16mm to 20mm.

    Reinforcement: To prevent metal fatigue at the welding point, we add 4 to 8 reinforcement ribs (gussets) between the shaft and the flange. This significantly increases the "root strength" of the pole.

4. Fasteners: Anchor Bolts and Hardware

    Anchor Bolts: Made from Q235 or Grade 45 steel, usually sized at M20 to M24. These are also hot-dip galvanized to prevent the foundation from rotting.

    Stainless Steel Screws: For the service door and external fittings, we use 304 Grade Stainless Steel to ensure that maintenance hatches can still be opened after a decade of exposure.

5. Finishing: UV-Resistant Polyester Powder Coating

    The Material: We use outdoor-grade pure polyester powder (e.g., AkzoNobel or PPG).

    Performance: Unlike standard paint, this powder is electrostatically applied and cured at 200°C. It provides a hard shell that resists UV degradation, chalking, and fading for 5–10 years.

Decano Technical Warning:

Beware of "Pre-galvanized" or "Cold-galvanized" (electro-plated) poles often sold at lower prices. These materials only have a thin exterior coating and will rust from the inside out within 2 years. For a 10m installation, only Post-Fabrication Hot-Dip Galvanizing ensures the safety of the public.
