1. 3m – 5m: Pedestrian & Landscape Zone

At this height, the focus is on atmosphere, architectural integration, and human-scale safety.

Residential Estates & Private Gardens: 3m–4m poles are used for intimate pathway lighting where the goal is to see the person walking toward you without harsh glare.

Public Parks & Jogging Tracks: 5m poles are the "Gold Standard" for parks. They are high enough to provide a wide pool of light for security but low enough to remain below the tree canopy.

Rural Connectivity (Solar): 5m is the most popular height for rural "Village-to-Village" solar lighting projects due to the ease of manual installation.

2. 6m – 8m: Secondary Road & Industrial Zone

This is the "Workhorse" range for functional urban infrastructure.

Secondary Urban Streets: 6m–7m poles are ideal for two-lane residential roads and non-motorized vehicle lanes.

Industrial Parks & Warehouses: 8m poles, paired with high-output LED luminaires, provide the necessary wide-angle illumination for logistics yards and forklift operations.

School & Hospital Campuses: This height ensures consistent lighting for internal shuttle routes while keeping the light source above the direct line of sight of ground-floor windows.

3. 9m – 12m: Main Arterial & Traffic Hubs

This range is engineered for high-speed safety and massive scale.

Urban Main Arterials: 10m poles are the standard for 6-lane city roads. They provide the "throw" required to reach the center lanes with high uniformity.

Highways & Expressways: 12m poles are typically installed in central medians or along the outer shoulders. The extra height allows for greater spacing between poles (up to 40–50 meters), reducing the total number of poles needed for long-distance infrastructure.

Logistics Ports & Commercial Plazas: 12m poles act as mini-high-masts, illuminating large open areas to facilitate 24/7 commercial operations.

Decano Selection Logic: The 1:1 Rule

A general rule of thumb used by Decano engineers is that the pole height should roughly equal the road width ($H \approx W$) for optimal light uniformity.

If the road is 10m wide, a 10m pole is ideal.

If the road is wider, we often switch to Double-Arm poles in the center median to maintain this ratio.
